From a trip back in late winter in Bankhead National Forest. One of the nicest cascades I've come across. #bankhead #alabama #waterfalls If you like, please subscribe! Hit the bell to get notifications for new videos too! https://youtu.be/a_AetFbRs10
Beaver Dam Trail, Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, MS. One of my favorite trails in the world. Enjoy this little trip alongside the Noxubee River with lots of cypress trees, a few birds, and of course, a beaver dam. https://youtu.be/_cT-Fd666LM
Backyard Vegetable Garden Update. The okra keeps coming, the slugs are winning the strawberry war, and we're suddenly getting a ton of cayenne pepper. The habaneros are almost ready. Something going horribly wrong with the Cherokee purple tomatoes. https://youtu.be/s70nOmqX_rM
Behind on this a bit because of work and an out of state trip, but I'll get caught up tomorrow! Picked our first brandywine and supersteak tomatoes last week. Also, a lot of green tomatoes and million bells I took my Mom before the trip. Good eats! https://youtu.be/qnTTSpBeGdY
Took a brief walk halfway around the fishing pond at Noxubee Refuge, finding a large gator and several herons. https://youtu.be/sOkVRbrfDzo
This week's garden update. More okra, lots of peppers (and a new pepper addition!), and finally a few blackberries. https://youtu.be/UFvaG1fyMc0
A walk along the Bluff Lake boardwalk to see ibis and one really large gator. It's been years since I've visited the refuge and was nice to see it much as it was before. Watching the ibis move through the cypress trees and the gator swimming was really nice. https://youtu.be/eLa1gB4oW1I
https://youtu.be/3c__xQN9O8A The first nice harvest from the backyard garden. I plan on doing these weekly. New hiking videos will start popping up twice a week, at least for a while. Hopefully soon new blog posts will follow. And as always, daily photos....
